Reminder (2020)
Norman Rea Gallery, York.
25th February-6th March, 2020.
Reminder displays post-it notes, a temporary form of memory, used to remind us of mundane and everyday tasks. Looking at this in relation to the family album, also used to document the ‘everyday’ family life; but instead as a system for long term memory, often transcending lifetimes and generations.

Part of the Up North Exhibition at the Norman Rea Gallery in York, celebrating and promoting young northern artists.

Interim Show (2020)
Spark:CIC, York.
28th-30th January, 2020.
Consciously working solely in tones of pink, as a response to ‘Millennial Pink’, a specific shade of pink which has dominated social media for the past few years; associated with maternal comfort and security, scientifically proven to reduce aggressive emotions. Using old vernacular photography and ‘millennial pink’, as a representation of our yearning for the past, possibly viewing it through a ‘rose-tinted lens’, nostalgic for simpler times.

Featured as part of York St John University Interim Exhibition, showcased at Spark, in York.
